I was spotted by Mr Notsototalnewbie, out being walked by their dog on Wednesday. I was cycling back home, and unusually using a slightly different route to the one I usually take. I was in a slight rush, so didn't stop.

(Apologies to Robert, who I think has an account on here, but I don't remember what it is!)
Actually, it is rocket science.

At one of the road crossings on the Cambridge Guidd Busway today, a rider coming the other way, wearing an LEL jersey (as was I) and commented on it.  I was on my recumbent, if anyone OTP resembles this remark?

Points-by-proxy as I was spotted by none other than Hanananananah The Astronononononomer toward the end of this afternoon's bike ride.  I rode right past her, on the basis that AFAIK she was on another continent and it therefore couldn't possibly be her.  Astoundingly, it was.

Spotted Teethgrinder in Milton Keynes today and said hello. I think he might have been a little surprised. If you're reading this, sorry Steve, I didn't mean to jump you while you were taking a break.

I once saw Dez on Teams. Or it could have been Zoom, can't remember now. But he couldn't see me because I wasn't there.

I met Pedal Castro yesterday in deepest Northamptonshire. Not only did he very generously donate a soup maker and halogen oven, but he also gave me a range of his lovingly crafted home brew. Thanks Noel.

zigzag in a low dive (The Anchor Tap near Tower Bridge*) at the end of The Fridays Christmas ride. He didn't ride, we did. It's been a while.

It's hard to claim spotting when it was in my car but it was good to chat to cycle man this morning as I took him to his appointment.

This is a tenuous one, not least because it’s hearsay, but my mum tells me she saw someone on a recumbent (she did initially say “incumbent”, like something Count Arthur strong might do), on New Street in Birmingham a week or two ago.
Now, I’m sure there’s more than one incumbent owner in Birmingham, but I thought it worth mentioning, just in case.
Also, I thought New Street was pedestrianised?

I don't know about this particular case, but you can get away with cycling a recumbent in pedestrianised areas and stations (which are essentially pedestrianised), as people assume they're being used by someone who is disabled (and sometimes they are), and it's actually often a pain to push some recumbents around by hand!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Oh, I’m not judging, I’m not even sure it is wholly or partly pedestrianised.

Wasn't me.  Or for that matter barakta, who is currently hors de combat as far as outdoor cycling is concerned.

Cycling is allowed in the pedestrianised areas of central Birmingham, though it can often be easier to get off and push a two-wheeler.
