That's astonishingly cheap. Those hubs are great.

Frustratingly, Decathlon expect my delivery to arrive on Nov 12th. (2018, I presume ... )

I hope it is being personalised for me at the Shimano factory!

Number on rim is 622 x21 c. If you do get one check the adjustment

Well, it's arrived. [after non-trivial delay, and apology emails. on the plus side, delivery on a Sat morning was VERY convenient, so I'll stop moaning now ...]

Will get it into the garage later for measuring etc.  But first impressions are that it's VERY stiff. The old one is currently in bits so I cannot make a direct comparison, but ... I'm a bit disappointed. If it just needs the cones adjusted then I've probably got a good deal.

Mine was mega mega stiff. For the hassle mine has saved me just running errands without worrying about batteries being charged it's already paid the £30 imo

don't be too quick to pass judgement on it until

a) you have the wheel mounted in a fork

b) the tyre and tube are fitted (this doubles the inertia of the wheel, so it spins smoother/ longer) and

c) the hub is at least correctly adjusted, and preferably correctly lubricated too.

You can do each of these things in turn if you like, and see what difference each one makes individually.

cheers

My 3N80 spins pretty much like a normal front hub with the lights off and a 700 x 23c tyre fitted.  There's no real drag; the extra weight is the only daytime penalty.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

Brucey option c is the important one from that list.
