We live just a few miles south of Stoke and still haven't had ANY SNOW AT ALL since one bloody cm ten days before Christmas.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH

I want snow. Why does everybody else have snow?
I do a night time loop out past the old powerstation and I have found that the lumpy bits around Stone have their own micro-climate. You can actually feel the sharp temperature change as you get to around Barlaston. I think it may be the terrain, it always seems to be on the edge of two pressure fronts

I have 'snow' all over my lounge carpet; someone left a tissue in the washing...

I'm done with snow. My backside has been in contact with frozen water rather than the bicycle I intended it to stay on, 6 times in the last 3 weeks.

Come to Suffolk, take all the bloomin snow.

We have had very little snow here(not far from Gordy) but what we have had has melted & frozen & then thawed, then frozen again. This has occurred several times leaving ice as serious safety threat for cyclists, peds & motorists.

A "severe weather warning" has been issued concerning the probablility of 1 - 3cm snow falling in Essex / Saarfend.

I don't call that especially severe.

Edit: temperature is +1°C.

I went running for about an hour - and it's plenty warm in the sun but the roads are just treacherous. I really struggled to stay upright when walking in 4 or 5 places on the lanes.

MV, put the gin down and step away 8)

Not even a frost here tonight chiz, money back plz.

Still frozen in from latest snowfall.  I attempted to ride the Sardar and am just back after giving up.  So now I need to walk ( :() to town for bread n milk.
I'm supposed to be leaving at 6ish tomorrow as hire car is due back in Brum at noon Monday.  We'll see how that goes then.

I’m embarrassed now, the really bad stuff is only near me.  (Talk about micro climates!)
I would only have had to push the bike half a mile or so to get to where it is (sort of) rideable.
Oh well, it was a lovely morning for a walk.  Thankfully I got a lift from local farmers for the last mile out and for the first three back, so what was going to be a 9 mile round trip hike turned out to be only 5 miles.
Sons have just left to retrace my steps.  They’re heading into town for their poker league.  I’ve told them I’ll be drinking [1] so not to bother ringing tonight for a lift back.

[1] Not necessarily true.

+1 for the Micro-climate idea.  Bright sunshine all morning here.

Just been out for 25 miles of (converted railway) + (smallish A road) + (converted canal towpath).  Frozen snow in places, wet&dirty puddles and splash in others.  Then black ice at one T-junction-onna-slope, so I had to allow the Windcheetah (*) to roll back, then nip up onto the pavement where the frozen snow had enough lumps-n-bumps to provide grip.

(*) No way was I going out on anything with 2 wheels or fewer.

Just shoed up my one of my spare front wheels for the 'cross bike with a Schwalbe Snow Stud tyre. Not sure what sort of advantage it will offer with 100 studs but the crosser is pretty good in snow with regular tyres, just could do with a bit more bite in compressed snow and refrozen snow. Ice, in the absence of snow, is rarely an issue on my commute.

As PaulF said, a little in SW London, but it's only retained where the sun hasn't shone, and seems to be the barest speckling of whiteness.  It's not enough to dissuade me from my commute tomorrow morning (unless a lot more happens overnight).
Actually, it is rocket science.

Jeez, that's just the ambient temperature. Wonder what the chill-factor was when you're going along?
At least -20oC, perhaps?
