It's been snowing really hard for the last hour here in St Andrews. Big splooshy flakes - it's about an inch deep already. Hope it doesn't affect weekend travel plans. Although there are worse things than being stranded in a multi star spa resort, even if it is with your bosses.

Sadly not. On the train on Sunday. I have to come back soon, I'd forgotten how much I liked the people here.

I wouldn't trust them that far south. Head north over the Tay and meet some really friendly folk.

I've woken to a couple of inches of snow. It's still falling in Oldham but seems to be slowing up.

I had arranged a nice loop round over Cragg Vale with a couple of friends for this morning but I've just cancelled it*. Will go for a walk instead.

* we did a great ride over Holme Moss after more snow than this a couple of years ago but I am much more of a chicken nowadays.

More forecast most days this coming week as well (depending on who you believe!)
The "Ice Bike" may get some outings after all this week, it seems...

About an inch here in Ely-shire, but wet & very sticky. I was hoping it would be as nice as yesterday was, and I would be able to get some miles in on the bike.

A foot! I bet he lies to his girlfriend as well! Looking out of my window it's less that 2".

A fair few inches overnight and was still coming down when I should have been off for a ride. Discretion won so I went for a walk. Slowly melting now.

About 7.5cm overnight hereabouts.It's starting to thaw now 'cause the sun is bright & it is actually a pleasant day providing you stay out of the shade.

Me folks just send me this, they have had snow constantly since December over there (not heard off) pretty much snow 2-3 times a week. The 2nd Jan. they got really dumped on which haven't melted but only been added too.

The pile behind the car is just over 3m.

The sun is giving it a right hiding, but the forecast is for more light snow today,
and for more heavy* snow on Monday and Tuesday.

*Not Woolly heavy though.

Update: 38 farms have their roofs collapse because of the snow in the local area.
