Phototalk / Anyone got any spare compact flashcard or cheap sources of new?
« Last post by Gattopardo on Yesterday at 11:25:18 pm »
During my arage excavations I have found my canon 350 and 400d.  So was thinging of either selling them or converting them both to astrophotography by removing ir filters.  Was also looking at adding chdk firmware.

Unfortunatly my 450d with kit lens and 75-300 is lens both got stolen in France.

So firstly any cheap decent compact flash cards around?

Check out how much the MUJ is worth I sold two a couple of years ago for over £100 each and that was cheap.

Have bought this lamp https://www.screwfix.com/p/lap-g13-t8-led-tube-3300lm-22w-1514mm-5-/125ha and in the instructions shows that I can wire the tube directly to the mains and remove the starter and ballast.

Or should I ask Robgul as he is seems handy on the screwfix website.

Hi - Rob here!  - not a clue I'm afraid. I have a few LED light units that are superb, not "conversions".     AFAIK LAP is a Screwfix own brand, stuff made in China  (Do not confuse with Lapelec in the UK which is "son of Lucas" the automotive electrical outfit.)

Hve used the LAP brand and cheap enough and what I have has been decent enough quality.

That review by RickyHolt seems quite informative...

It was the reason I bought the lamp, as it was cheaper than a led batten. The wiring in this flat is shocking.  Lots of disconneted earths and even part of the ring main is extension cable twin and earth.  All done by a proffessional electrician! The ex of my ex.

The transormer in this ligh fitting buzzes the intercom near by and decided the easiest way to not have to alter anything ot fit a new batten was this.  Another no good deed goes unpunished.

I asked for genuine damsels, but a quick look at the wings of what arrived (two uneven pairs) suggested they sent me dragons.

I used to have an Alpkit saddlepack, yonks ago, but didn't like at all. Too shapeless and too hard to find the things I wanted in it. Might have been good for bikepacking, packing in the morning and unpacking in the evening and that's it, but no good for audax, which I was using it for.

I love my Gorilla fork bags. Waterproof, tough, leave only the tiniest unobtrusive bolts on the forks when not in use.
