Bright Lights, Brilliant Minds

Vienna 1908. Excellent I hope the next two on Paris and New York are as good.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

Sheridan Smith on WDYTYA tonight.

You win!  You can't beat celeb-watching.  I remove my clashing suggestion lest I cause anyone to miss Sheridan Smith. :o

Actually, WDYTYA was shit on toast, that series has jumped the shark, there are way too many establishing shots and lame voiceovers and minor celebs sobbing their hearts out at the sad stories of relatives they hadn't chuffing heard of five minutes previous. Sheridan Smith was milking it for all it was worth. 2/10 would not watch again.

I don't normally have much time for WDYTYA but my wife loves it so I often end up watching it by default and I actually rather enjoyed the one last week with Brendan O'Carroll (aka Mrs Brown), which focused on the fascinating story of his grandad, an IRA man who was murdered by British militia - just goes to show that it's not necessarily your favourite people who have the most interesting family stories.

Not tonight - on catchup.

Actually, quite interesting. Scary, if you believe such things. I've had dealings with ToR through work. Really excellent tech, thoroughly open to the Dark Side of the human psyche. It's a tricksy thing - balancing freedom, with the in-built human desire to fuck each other over.

Every time I walk through the lobby here the TV is showing Joan Rivers' funeral.  Fox "News", natch.

So the answer is, of course, "nothing".

Not really tonight, but any night if you have Amazon Prime Instant*.

Constantine, the TV series of the graphic novels.

Only seen the first so far, but if the rest keep up the standard it should be a good series.

Thanks to Andygates, via FB, for the heads up.

Last night on BBC4 and now on iPlayer  - Johnny Cash: The Man, His World, His Music

A 1969 documentary about the man in black. No voice-over just a camera following him in concert, on tour and talking to friends, relatives and the public. Riveting.
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.
