My decision to have a week "off" and try to catch up on a lot of the work that I wasn't getting the chance to do before is paying off - I'm making progress. I should do it more often

My Boss (BMW driver extrordinaire) went to the lbs and bought a new bike today. :) He remembered my advice and has ordered a hybrid Ridgeback and not a full sus mountain bike that he was fancying ::-)

Just found out that this November I'll be taking a four-day class (GIS for conservation planning) at the National Conservation Training Center in West Virginia. It's a big training center, but feels like a haven for conservation workers--I've been twice before.

I've had a lot of sleep. Not yet enough, but I'm feeling less spaced out.

Apparently, the pilot didn't know if he was heading for north or south terminal until the last minute. Can this be normal?

Not if you're going to Heathrow :)

My son has just finished his MA dissertation with the exception of a bit of tidying up and the usual presentation production (bound & gagged).

He also won another £100 playing on line poker this afternoon. In the past three weeks he has won enough to be able to feed himself for a month.

If I played on line poker, it wouldn't be me who'd be able to feed themselves for a month on the proceeds :(.

This is precisely why I steer clear of on-line poker.

I had to Google, but yes it is.
Wonder why Subaru don't publicise that ?  ;D

Top gay guy car is the VW Jetta so it shows that gay chicks have better taste in cars.

My neighbour just knocked and asked to borrow my track pump for the third time this week. Except this time he bought flowers to say thanks (I think he works at New Covent Garden or something, he is always cycling around with bunches of flowers, as you do).

I have tried to explain that a) he is not pumping his tyres up hard enough and b) they are worn and in need of replacing anyway. But he is Italian with less than perfect English and I'm not sure he understands. And of course my Italian is non-existent.

Plus I confused the poor guy enough when he asked where I was cycling off to at 11.30pm last month (to the seaside -  it was the FNRttC)

You know that Italian for "pump" is "pompino"?.  O:-)

"Gradite prendere in prestito la mia pompino?" (Would you like to borrow my pump?)

Don't mention pompino to the Italian gentlemen.  :oClicky

Anders has a new kitten!
What did he do to the old one  :o

It was the weirdest thing--the more he fed it, the bigger it got. It's not even a kitten anymore! Strange.
