I don't understand why last year I hated Jedward but this year my favourite is always Wagner. Apart from last week, where there were no bongos. Wagner + bongos = best two minutes of telly all week.

He was looking at Dermot like he wanted to eat him in some sort of sexual cannibal way.

I find my X Factor viewing is made more amusing if I read the Guardian live blog at the same time. The X Factor live blog – Elton John night | Television & radio | guardian.co.uk

Westlife are on.  They got off their stools before the key change though  :(

EDIT: the theory still holds, there wasn't a key change  :)

There weren't any stools. Apart from the four singing ones.

I am not a fan.

The middle two were sitting on something at the start.  Cut them some slack, they're middle-aged now.

Wagner is just ace.  I laughed from start to finish.

He's got the timing of Corporal Jones from Dad's Army.

I can't figure out how it's possible to talk out of tune.

Speaking of keys, you'd think Take That could have agreed on the same one before they got on stage.

So does Mrs Z.

She was 14 when they were in their heyday.

Who pays £250 an hour to boff an 81-year old granny?

Oh.  Of course.

Oh.  Of course.

"There's no one quite like grandma" has been hurriedly axed as Katie's next song choice.

Well I'm not going to line Cowell's posckets by actually voting but I hope he wins it (he won't, The Boy Band has been manufactured from Day-1 to win)

So, the first part of the final  ::-) was last night, and irritating rapper Cher went out. Tonight we have Matt, Rebecca and Wand Erection. Matt's dull, Rebecca has a brilliant voice but is an absolute snoozefest, and Wand Erection make me want to have a good go at their hair with the scissors.

I feel I have to watch tonight because I've invested too much of myself into this series but I'm really not looking forward to it. I can't summon up the energy to care who wins.

They've ruined the format this year. Two two-hour shows during telly prime time each weekend? Most of which Is filler and adverts? I've forgiven this show for a lot in the past because I basically enjoy it, but it's pushed its luck too far this year.

I won't be watching next year.

Sky+ rocks.

You schedule it to record the show, do something more useful instead, the next day you find out the winner and you never bother going back to watch the show.

Yes, it's awful, isn't it. ;D

Still, it's over now. I feel like I have my life back. If the rest of my family still want to watch it next year, I shall use that as an excuse to do a 600k audax every weekend for the duration of the series.

I'm hoping they all disappear back into obscurity.

I don't even know who any of them are thank god.
