It's a pain in the arse choosing an outfit.  Wearing black is much easier.  But try not to be too sad.

In all seriousness, though, I won't care.  I'll be dead.  Given the option I rather like Frank Turner's "Long Live the Queen" and if my friends / family opted for 'civilised' rather than 'rampant piss-up' then they should know that my favourite requiems are Faure and Rutter (good background music for a civilised funeral tea) but really?  People should play what they like.

There's only an hour's worth of music there, and I'll be dead a bloody long time.

Faure's requiem is sublime and beautiful.  Therefore not reminiscent of me at all.  Though I prefer Verdi's, personally.

Another vote for Jake Thackray plus the theme music to QI. I don't want a church do but there is a part of me that loves the idea of everybody sitting in the pews as the coffin is carried down the aisle to that QI them tune.

I went to a funeral about a year ago and one of the songs played during the service was <a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/l9K4BKkLaCI&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/l9K4BKkLaCI&rel=1</a>. I loved it. The guy that died was middle aged and a joker to the end.
