For the last four years I have managed well enough in my studio flat with a gas fire for heat and an immersion heater for hot water.
The cylinder for the immersion heater is on its last legs (it is starting to leak!) so I have been forced to reconsider rather sooner than I would have liked to. I had always planned to to put in a combi boiler and central heating at some stage (the immersion eats electricity) but never quite saved up enough. I'll just have to make up the balance by reluctantly borrowing as there's no point replacing the cylinder.
I know I need to get a list of CORGI registered plumbers etc, but a personal recommendation for someone who can work in the London area would be very valuable. I really cannot afford to be ripped off or messed about.
