Some time ago, I got some help here finding a
connector that enabled me to use a set of ordinary headphones with my Sony Ericsson phone, and it's been very useful when I want to listen to messages, or to the inbuilt radio.
I've continued to use the supplied hands free kit on occasion to make calls, but I hate in-ear headphones, and wonder whether the connector I've used with ordinary headphones for listening might also allow me to connect a proper headset with mike for actually making calls. Does anyone know if this can be done? If so, do you have any recommendations as to a good headset to use?
The connector/adapter pictured in the above link shows quite a lot of pins, more than seems necessary for just audio output, so perhaps a headset with a mike would work?
