I mean Watford, Hertfordshire.  Watford Gap is in the middle of the dragon infested waste that is the North....    ;D

I can tell you're an offshorian.   The general reference is north of Watford Gap.     ::-)

I'm as offshorian as you can get - and proud of it. ;D

The Pembury in Dalston/Hackney does quite nice pork scratchings and a great selection of beer. Anyone wanna organise a ride? I believe they also do pickled eggs., good food, board games and have a pool table.

I had a fantastic kebab saturday night in Portswood.  It was one of those ones where you stumble out the shop, spend a few minutes working out which way home by which point you've completely forgotten what you ordered, and opening the tray is almost always a surprise ;D

Pork scratchings are foul things.  For some reason I just can't help myself If i see them mind ;D

Pork scratchings?  Even if I wasn't a whinging veggie, I think I'd rather eat the windfalls from scabrous geriatrics.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Pork scratchings are lovely. But then I like eating crispy chicken skin in a roast dinner as well...

Fair enough, I've been veggie for years, but even when I ate meat, I wouldn't eat pork scratchings. I like tongue though.

I was once helping my mum prepare some belly pork, and I freaked out as I thought it had a wart. My mum pointed out it wasn't a wart, but was a nipple.

I love pig skin when it's crispy like crackling or scratchings and even when it's chewy and gelatinous like pigs trotters.  I even eat bacon rind, not that you see it anymore.
