Considerable energy has been put in over the years to make fat palatable, Ice Cream, British 'Chocolate', pies, processed meats etc. One of the defining characteristics of a good long distance cyclist is the ability to process fats. That's why so many of us are struggling to keep our weight down. What it does mean is that I could go into a shop in Poland and buy a tin of these products and get another 100 miles out of them. I wonder what the calories per 100 gram are?
