I'll start with these two:

Anyone hazard a guess before I spill the beans? (If you open the images in a new window they are bigger)

If that second one was a plane then I hope that spike on decent wasn't a very very sudden stall!

[Out on a limb here]
The train one starts somewhere between Bristol and Bath; stops are at Bath, Chippenham, Swindon, and Didcot Parkway.
The drop in speed between Chippenham and Swindon is Wootton Bassett Junction.  Also a slight check in speed on the approach to Didcot - possibly late operation of one of the Level Crossings at Steventon.

Locating the aeroplane one might be a bit more tricky.

So the stops are Slough, Reading, Didcot and Swindon, from left to right?
But that puts Slough to Reading as 12 miles (from dist=10 to dist=22), whereas the distance is 18 (on National Rail timetables).  Reading to Didcot is closer (dist=22 to dist=38) to the published (18 miles) distance.  Then 24 (+/-1) as the distance from Didcot to Swindon.

Or was the first stop at Maidenhead, not Slough?

The track starts at the M25. For some reason!
