Last Call for 'overseas' events for 2015/2016 season.
« on: 07 October, 2016, 10:08:23 am »
There are an increasing number of you requesting your overseas BRMs and RM rides to appear on your AUK results.
Some of you will even have been pleasantly surprised to find them appearing there as if by magic due to the Recorder having special powers of divination identifying your name in an online list from organising club or other national body.

For those unfamiliar with the process of claiming - it is detailed at: http://www.aukweb.net/aboutauk/faq/#32

As we close out the 2015/2016 season results, it would be helpful to know if anyone has any further claims (even if you don't have the brevet card back yet).

For any that have already claimed, but have not yet provided your homologation number, please do so ASAP.

TIA

Still waiting to hear from a non-responsive overseas org ... I assume I'll get the brevet back at some point with an ACP number on it, and that might be the only way I'll get the homologation number. What if that's in, say, December ?

HK and I rode a 400+km Fleche Velocio at Easter but we don't expect to get our brevet cards back for a while yet.

If it's either Belgium, Denmark, Sweden or the Netherlands....don't count on getting the card back at all. The clubs do usually have a website with the results and homo-numbers listed however.

Was under the impression that Rohnny said the Borders of Belgium cards would be returned?

It very much depends on the individual organiser.

Thanks for the pointer. Just looked at randonneurs.nl where they list riders and their ACP homologation numbers. The most recent is October 2015 though, and the previous running of my event doesn't have any homologation numbers listed ...  ???

  DON'T
  PANIC
     &
Just PM me the name and date of the event, and your AUK membership nbr.

HK and I rode a 400+km Fleche Velocio at Easter but we don't expect to get our brevet cards back for a while yet.
Results posted online anywhere?
Start date?

Brevet numbers can come later... just life is much easier if I can add a rider to an event before we close the books on the 2016 season

The Fleche Velocio only ever starts on Easter Saturday. The published results only list the award winners. http://www.audax-club-parisien.com/EN/354%20-%20Results%20Fléche%20Vélocio.html The other results generally get issued in a plaquette around the time of the ACP AGM in January.

bloody 'strines.... you ask them for a date, and they give you an offset from an obscure religious festival, which is not only highly variable in date, but is inconsistent across (some) national boundaries.  ;D

Fleche Velocio is only in France, so Orthodox variations don't really apply.

The initial flood of requests having dwindled to a trickle....Any more out there?
Or any recently joined AUKs who want UK events they entered prior to joining adding to their records?

I can't give a definitive date for closing this off - it depends on other classes of events, but 'could' be in next few days - so don't delay.

Wonderful to see a particularly challenging Irish ride appear in results overnight.

Thanks! Did you spot Pete Turnbull's record on there?

I confess I didnt. I did see (and record) Joth & Emma but not Mr Turnbull.
An omission I have now corrected.

I have about all the homologations lists in my computer, so just pm me the ride and I can probably send it to you.
