CHEDECH CARBON FOLDER TEST RIDE
« on: 11 September, 2018, 07:17:25 pm »
Been commuting on a few folding bikes over the years. Easy to park; handle in traffic, etc. Was able to test ride a carbon model; Chedech. Might be a consideration to those looking at Bromptons(have 2), Terns, Bike Fridays(have 1 pakiT), etc. Sporty handling comparable to my S type Bromptons, lighter(and cheaper) than a 6 speed:

it would be useful to watch a review, what's good what's not, strong points week points, compatibility, quality of parts, possibility to attach full mudguards etc.

thanks!

Just reading the specs and all seemed good until it mentioned the Sturmey Archer SRF5(W), which is the worst hub gear ever made*.

As the title suggests; this was just an extended test ride. I would need the bike for at least a week to make a full review.

Some pros:
-fit and finish are top notch; paint quality, how parts mesh together, etc.
-sporty handling; quick steering/reaction

Some cons:
-sporty position more aggressive than non S type Brompton
-less accessories available; compared to Brompton, Tern, Dahon, etc.
