I didn’t realise entries opened today, but I’ve just applied. Not entered a team name yet (who wants me?).

Happy to join an ACME group, especially if there are one or two pub stops planned!

Cough cough.

Checking I am alive, it seems I am.

I will enter and I will be ACME but I reserve the right to fail to make the start line based on an acute lack of conditioning. I have committed to LWL so that will let me know if I have a chance of getting up to speed (or rather distance) before August...

And hello all, feels like a long time away.

Hi Tomsk, having ridden over half a dozen of your events, would I qualify to join ACME  TEAM LEL. I'm from Letchworth and would like to ride with localish chaps. Thanks Andrew

We need all the friends we can get! You'd be very welcome to join the ACME Peloton.

I’m from Milton Keynes, but have ridden plenty of ACME events (until the first lockdown). Hoping to return to them this year.

Are there enough ACME entrants for a pubinar or shall we all just corner Tomsk one Wednesday evening ?

I think about 9 in Team ACME so far. Despite different start times towards the back of the field, as well as varied sleep requirements in 2017, we kept some sort of cohesion. (Ok, at times separatist/devolved, especially on the third day.) But it all came good on the last day, with the infamous ride across the Fens and we essentially finished in two groups a short-ish time apart.

A pubinar is always a good idea though.

Always up for a pubinar. No plans on riding LEL or PBP ever though.

Sorry to hear that.

Thinking positively, that'll mean more time for ACME Goes Dutch, and the Flattish ACME Grand?

Well certainly Dutch, not so sure my heart is in the long rides anymore, though things might change if I can get any fitness back!

Oh no, why’s that? Your average speeds on Strava would give you plenty of down time on LEL

I've got COVID at the moment and it's just one problem after the other plus no desire for the afters of a long ride. I can't even be arsed (or get round) a 200 at the moment.

Thought I was on a bit of an up this last week but the deadline for cancellations and £50 loss is end of this month.

Oh bugger, hopefully you’ll make a decent enough recovery, even if long distance  motivation doesn’t return.

Hope you're feeling back to your usual self soon, JJ. I think I know how you feel; I have a recurring health condition that wipes out all of my energy and enthusiasm even for riding short distances, which makes me unlikely to commit to any more long rides in the foreseeable future.

I'll be volunteering again on LEL instead - and I'm sure you would be welcome at Great Easton if you chose to do the same...  :)

Just checked my start time and its 14:45 (I requested 15:00)
I guess the other ACME team members are also 14:45?
