Gathering bits for donation to Matt Brammeier's Rwanda Cycling Clothing Drive, I found this .

Had forgotten how much I liked the Intel rip-off logo.

I still have my L/S jersey.
Can't remember the last time it left the wardrobe.....
My recollection is that if you put heavy stuff in the pockets, it felt like you were being garrotted.
ETA - I thought, and do still think, that the design was ace.

Still got my short sleeved jersey and wear it quite often.

In my personal opinion, a much nicer looking jersey than the current YACF offering.

I use my pirate l/s full zip one from time to time.  It's a good lightweight extra layer.

Still got mine (shorts too), but can't remember when I last wore it. I do wear my CakeStop (even before ACF) l/s jersey occasionally.

Never had a jersey but like Basil I still have an ACF cap. Two, actually. But I seem to have gathered rather a collection of cycling caps and they don't get worn that much nowadays. I think the last time I wore one was on the Birmingham Canal Tunnels ride.

And the bibshorts would be great if the straps could be shortened a bit :/

I liked it there but it was run by a "benign" dictator who didn't like the way things were going [the use of smileys!].  He threatened to pull the plug and YACF was set up as a "lifeboat", which was necessary in the end.

Most people jumped ship to this place which was very similar in many ways and it's evolved from there.

wow. I have been on a few forums over the years, the old cycling+ forum, sailing and motorcycling forums.  They all seem to go thru cycles were one group of people think another group of people has crossed "the line" and teddy is ejected from the pram.  "The line" is discussed endlessly before everything settles down to another few hundred thread on the best oil for a 1200GS motorbike/ the best anchor/ best bike for audax/ world tour/ getting to the paper shop.  Then it all starts again.

It the first time i've know the line to involve smileys, and it looks like teddy is in low earth orbit.


PS I see a few names from the old C+ forum is Gunner rodgers, ravenbait, flying monkey et al on here?

That's fair. 
And it's not come up for quite a while now.  I'm totally over it and can't be bothered any more, but I think it's legitimate discussion now. 
Like history.  It's so old it's begining to appear in some GCSE history text books.

I know dicussion was originally frowned upon, but surely it's now beyond "Don't mention the war" status.

Not sure I agree that it's worth bringing up again (while recognising that some who weren't there are curious).

My memory of the 'history' is quite different to most expressed above but feel that if I were to argue the case in any detail it would just dredge up bad feeling.

History does tend to get written by the winners.

P.S. I still have and wear my ACF jersey and matching set of shorts (x3) that have survived a decade of long distance riding.

No interest in the history of The Great Schism, I've been a party to enough internet forum explosion/implosions to know that they are always very different yet exactly the same.

But this reminded me that when I was at the Sheffield Cycle Jumble, someone had an ACF jersey for sale. I thought it a bit odd because it seemed like the sort of thing that wouldn't attract much surplus production. But then again, I've also seen a Cyclocross National Trophy series leader skinsuit from 1997 so i guess it takes all sorts.
