I've got the go-ahead for this. Any idea how I go about entering? It's not obvious from the website. Do I contact Esther?

Print an entry form from the CTT website, fill it in and post to the organiser. If the organiser's name and address isn't on the website and you don't have a CTT handbook, ask here and someone will find it for you.

Thanks Ian,

I don't have a CTT handbook, but the organiser is 'E Carpenter' -- Esther, whose address is on the ESCA website.

The CTT site states that you need to handbook for the address to send the entry to. They list the entry fee on the website: £20.00. The organiser is named on there as E Carpenter (Esther Carpenter), whose address is on the ESCA website. I think this should be all I need, unless the handbook lists a different address to send the entries to?

I've got the form filled out, and a cheque made out.

Nah, the site says £20

Make the cheque out to "East Sussex Cycling Association" and send to Esther with a CTT form with as much detail filled out as possible.

Email: esthercarpenter AT rocketmail DOT COM for more info (her email address was listed wrongly on the esca24 site but I found it on another)

Now with ElSupremo catering!

http://www.esca24hour.org.uk/documents/201005Newsletter.pdf

There's a "volunteers entry slip" on there.

(apparently they've changed the finishing circuit, too - probably a good thing)

El Supremo catering.

Glad I sent my entry off today then. :smug:
El Supremo also did the night catering on the last Sussex 24 hour in 1999.
It's a proper event now.

Is that a good thing? Catering? How much of their food do I need to eat to finish this alive?

I am looking less likely for this as I have to fill in an entry form this week ( next couple of days ) and at the moment my achilles problem looks like it is not going to clear up in time...

Well done to all you chaps who are entering a cycle race to induce a psychedelic state of mind towards the latter stage of the 24 hours.

I myself shall be with you in spirit. Most probably whisky, and some lovely beer up in Warwickshire for our annual boys golf jolly.
Certainly never seen cycling south of Sussex

Our club chairman will be knocking up the start list for this on Sunday and seemed to think there were about eighty entries, with another 10 or so anticipated.  It's all becoming a little 'real' now...

Well, my names on the list so my entry got there on time.
Not sure if that is  :) or  :(

It'll be an experience, anyway!

I might be able to come down on Sat eve/ Sunday Morn and hand out some support.
What's the protocol for such action?

I've only done a 12 before, but I seem to remember having to hand the organiser a completed form with details of any supporters, with car reg etc.  I guess this is for traceability in case of transgressions etc and I'd imagine (it being a championship event) the same rules would apply here.  If you're looking to offer generic help, it might be worth dropping the organisers a line (details via the ESCA 24h website) cos I know they're still looking for people.

Looks like a fight for the podium.
Wilco, John Warnock, Sean Childs and Dave Shepherd are riding. It'll be good to see Wilco riding again.
