hi,

I organise 6th june 2020 a RM 1600km : RECONCILIATION.
The start is "Sainte Mere Eglise" in Normandy and the finish line is "Belfort" next Germany

Memory places of European wars from the French revolution to WW2. From the D-Day American paratrooper in Sainte Mère Eglise in the west to the Belfort Lion in the east. We will wander around the D-Day beaches (Pegasus Bridge), the Atlantic Wall, Dieppe, WW1 front line (from the Somme battleground to the Vosges mountain range), the landmarks of the French revolution (Valmy & Varennes) and Struthof concentration camp.

"Les traversées de France" are long distance annual cycling events (“randonnees”) aiming to cross the French countryside following a route linked to a certain historical theme and to discover various points of interest (landscape, architecture, memorial, geographical or gastronomy) on the way. They have a time limit fixed at 200km or 280km (randonneurs mondiaux) per day . We start together or you can alternatively choose your own date of departure
