We slept in the garden last night.  Obviously the living area isn't usually this empty when camping away from home.  Note free-range rabbit for that sylvan feeling.

And right at the other end of the scale from these 5 room fabric semi-detacheds

Taken about 4.30pm  last November just as it was starting to get dark.

As it got darker, a magic cloak of invisibility came over it.  It couldn't be seen from more than about 10 feet away

I want tents.  With frickin' laser beams.

Our Blacks Octane 3 at 2400 metres in the Neouvielle National Park, Pyrenees.

Oh bugger, someone left the porch light on.

We have more tents than a well stocked branch of Millets, here are just some of them.

Our Campus Indiana 8 which is the forerunner of andyoxon's Kyham Indiana 8 (Kyham took over the Campus brand so I gather).  You can hold a circus in it, it's only draw back is the lack of a sewn in groundsheet in the middle living section.  I think that has been sorted in the later versions.  We purchased it in 2005 for £200 and have used it a great deal though it's retirement looms.  It might even get replaced by a caravan  :o :o :o

One of our two Decathlon pop-ups.  Both are the "Air" versions which have ears on either side that open to aid ventilation.  Here we see the 3-man version.  We also have the 2-man version.  The pair are used primarily when we are overnighting to save erecting the Campus Big Top.

Our two Decathlon cycle camping tents.  The smaller of the two in the background is a Quechua T2 ultralight pro.  The larger in the foreground is a T2 ultralight.  Both are very good in my opinion and incredible value for money.

Given enough time in the loft I could also lay my hands on a 2-man dome tent, can't remember the make or model and my old Robert Saunders cycle camping tent that I haven't used in over 20 years.

He was having a rest.  His fridge and piano are just out of shot.

By the way, the photo was taken on the Moon and Sixpence site near Woodbridge, Suffolk.  The site is the current holder of the prestigious Oscar's dad Best Loo Block Award.  Said block is a lovely log cabin type affair with Radio 2 piped 24/7.  And, harking back to a comment I made earlier on another thread, the site owner does enforce the curfew so the site is nice and quiet at night.

Crumbs, Pelli, I love those photos.  Thought they were from a catalogue at first!
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I agree.  Did you walk or cycle up there?

Last year at the campsite in Kirk Michael on the Isle of Man, after one of the heaviest nights of rain I can remember camping in - I wouldn't normally have gone for the 'under the trees' position but it worked out quite well.  Graham 's sitting outside his 'Argos' tent (same tent, but might not have been from Argos) and the black Coleman is mine.

Not our tent, despite Butterfly sitting outside it and looking right at home.  This is the Hilleberg dome tent being tested at Watlington.

Is it my imagination or is the Blacks Octane a rebadged Vango?
