I've decided that this will run again in 2020, and it now appears on the AUK Calendar for 22 August. There will be overnight accommodation available on the Friday night so you can be ready for a 6am start. There will also be a nap-stop at Corby Glen after 350km with air beds and blankets as well as hot food and drinks.
This all presupposes I'll be fully mobile again after breaking an ankle last week. And I have some major grovelling to do, as I realised late in my preparations that it clashes with my wife's birthday. Oops!
It's a nice and easy 600, with the major climbing over and done with in the first 100km. This year's route misses Donington services, which can be starting to get busy for some of the later riders. It's a cracking ride involving Saddleworth Moor, the Humber Bridge, and the Lincolnshire Fens.
