I'm taking the step daughters car into town so its there for her when she comes out of work at late o'clock. Brommie in the back, I may get detoured on the way home

A cyclist is about to leave the house.  His wife "Dinner will be at one".
"I won't be long I am only going for quick ride to the next village"
At the village he stops at the pub.  The attractive land lady says "We have a power cut I am going to shut up" and sells him a bottled beer.  As he is drinking he commiserates how lonely the pub is without people and one thing leads to another and the cyclist ends up in bed with her all afternoon. He returns home feeling deeply ashamed betraying his wife in this way.  He confesses it all.  She goes ballistic "You lying bastard you did a hundred miles!"
