The sort you'd get if you tried to buy black handlebar tape from a non-priest bike shop.

Anyone know of any?  It's to match an old Brooks Professional, which is not quite black.

I might have some somewhere? Having gone through yet another purchase that could? just get near what I thought I wanted/needed. Only to forget about that problem and move on to further frustrating constructs ::-)

It's whether I can now find that particular (as far as I can recall) rather dark brown new unused, still in its packaging, amongst years of such stuff, all over and anywhere Snowdon Towers and its overflowing (often dark cornered) bike bunker :-[

There's always the possibilty of the 'original' American bike crony angle - and their love of shellac + cotton bar tape experimentations?

The bike bunker is quite impressive.  Have you finished that old Dawes Galaxy now?

Yes, a long time ago - still waiting to be ridden and photographed - it's in the bedroom and is a discarded clothes hangar at the mo - seems a shame to disturb it (and have to sort the garbs) :-\

Will have look for the dark brown tape tomorrow  :)
