Dear The BBC,

How hard is it to get the sound right at a Ruggerby match?  I mean, you've only been broadcasting them since forever.  On the opening weekend the crowd in Rome was inaudible, tonight the colemantators are creeping out of the left speaker at a level usually associated with Bob Harris.  Even though it's Eddie Butler & Brian Moore I'd still quite like to hear what they're saying.

I notice that Wales have a second generation Moriarty playing for them. Ross Moriarty's uncle, Richard, was captain of Wales and, pleasingly, was often to be found playing alongside Holmes.

Ross looked pretty good, judging by today's performance.

Hurrah for England, but really, chaps, giving away seven kickable penalties to a side with someone like Machenaud in it is a Bad Thing.  If the French had actually managed to keep hold of the ball long enough to look like scoring a try we might have been in real trouble.  Glad to see Hartley recovered and lifting the trophy; that looked very nasty (and I don't mean his being replaced by a Hipster Beard either).

It was a great slam for England.  But their indiscipline is why I suspect they won't dominate indefinitely.  Maybe Jones can sort it out but he hasn't yet.

Main talking points will be the Captainship of England and the Lions.

I'd go for Greg Laidlaw as Lions' Captain but, of course, there may be Scottish bias in that decision.
