Those Hire Bikes in Bristol...

...you know the yellow ones? I think.

Occasionally I end up in Bristol without my bike for about 4-6 hours. I hate walking about all over town. And would prefer to hire a bike.

Who? How? Where? Locks? Leaving them in which places? Etc etc.

Thanks in advance.

Yep, Yo bikes. There are 600 of them in Bristol, so I'm told. Certainly lots on Gloucester Rd and around the Centre. Cost £1 an hour up to £5 a day, but I've no idea what their definition of day is. They have a 3-speed hub, dynamo lighting, little rack at the front, inbuilt horseshoe lock so you can leave them anywhere. You have to download an app to hire them. I don't know anyone who's ridden one yet.

Thank you both. It actually sounds fun and your first hire is free. £1 an hour thereafter and £5 per 24 hour hire. I like.

Someone was saying this morning they'd hired one and found the rear brake cable missing.  :o
