The Italian pack are showing moments of brilliance. It’s a shame that they can’t string them together.

Didn't particularly enjoy that game, so I may watch England France in the hope of better fair. Don't care who wins.
Problem is that it's my turn to do dinner, so I'll probably get several 'reminder' interruptions as the evening progresses.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I had actually thought that England might actually contest this match! It would seem that Farrell was perhaps more important to the team than just his kicking.

Oops.

I shall watch the 2nd half, but think saving the weekend is going to rely on Scotland playing a blinder at Murrayfield tomorrow. Where I shall be  ;D

I quit halfway through 5he second half. It was clear that England weren’t even going to salvage a modicum of a respectable score line.

TV's Jonny Wilkinson was quick to point out that England suffered an even worse drubbing from South Africa in mid-2007 and came back to make it to the World Cup final a few months later.

Which they then lost, to South Africa

Anyone distraught at the England result can take solace that I have just been complimented by an entire café on the brutal efficacy of the flying tackle with which I despatched two French bicycle thieves. I even got a free meal.

Still, the newspaper front pages are crowing about 'the new kings of England'.

Well, that was disappointing, Scotland had a bad game plan, or something like that.

I felt that the Calcutta Cup game was exciting, but not a particularly high quality game.

Based on the first set of fixtures Id be surprised if either team ultimately manage more than 2 wins from their 5 games.

Well with one game left each I'll not be far away.

Ireland will be heavily odds on to deliver a further pasting to England and well you never know Italy have beaten Scotland before.

I walked along to Murrayfield today, my 1st six nations game in a number of years.  Even at 7-8 I still reckoned it was Irelands game by at least 10.   They are good with the ball - they are incredible without it.

Worst bit (aside from the eye watering price of tickets) is the folk who have more interest in drinking than watching the match.

Long live the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 1980 - Id hate the football to become like that with folk up and down every 2 minutes for a beer/wazz/both.
