One of the greatest players of all time, and almost certainly the greatest full back.

A real shock, this.

Edit: according to the BBC website, it was bacterial meningitis that killed him.

So sad.
Yesterday, for no apparent reason, I was humming "Hymns and Arias" to myself
So in the evening I watched Max Boyce singing it. Glory Days for Welsh Rugby.
Then we heard the news about JPR.

He was exceptional, wasn't he?  Hard to say goodbye to JPR and Franz Beckenbauer on the same day.  (Goodbye and Thanks)
