. . . something like Lotus Organizer
« on: 17 October, 2013, 05:34:41 pm »

I'm looking for (well my wife is really) a standalone "diary-contacts-to do list" application that will run on an Android tablet - Nexus 7  (like the old Casio Organiser gadget or Palm Pilot style applications)

Standalone is the key expression here - not interested in synching to anything else or Twitface etc  (the ability to connect to anything through the ether is infrequent) ... just a good old "electronic filofax"   - free or paid-for ... not a problem

All suggestions welcome

Thanks

Rob

The standard calendar and contacts apps will work fine on their own without syncing to Google, but some persuasion may be required.

No doubt there are better alternatives, however...

aCalendar is a nice improvement on the default Android calendar. The free version is fine for me, there is also a premium version with a few more features. It uses the same database as the default calendar app, so should also work without syncing anything.

Google Keep works for a todo list and notes. Though not sure if it will work without syncing to Google.
