A slightly offbeat question for y'all:
In major races like the Giro and Le Tour, does the winning rider usually go off to the doping control to give their sample before the jersey presentation or afterwards?

Normally after, although a chaperone needs to be with them from the moment they cross the line up to when they provide the sample

My recollection from TV is that it’s normally before - they sometimes mention it’s why the podium is delayed.
(From TdF. Never watched the Giro)

I thought it was always straight into the control from the finish, usually with the paperazzi waiting outside!

The chaperones usually guide them straight to the doping control from the finish so there's less chance of funny business (fake penises, hidden clean wee, etc).

Assume that with covid-19," all out of competition tests will be suspended, so dopers in all sports can shoot up with impunity.
