Radio 2 - fannying about today.  No PopMaster!  After I've managed two 21s, a 6 and a 39 in the first two days of the week, I was agog for what would happen next.  But no. :(

Stupid Flash player. Why do you stop working properly sometimes? Having to download the full youtube video before starting to play it is really boring.

I got 18 in the first round today and 24 in the second.

Bah, I'm lucky to get more than one in Popmaster. And it's rare I do even that well.

Dear just about everbody.  That van driven by the Trotters in Only Fools And Arses is a Regal, not a fucking Robin, m'kay.
[Pedant] It was a SuperVan III, based on the Regal.

My turn:
Derby Station Announcer.  Please be pronouncing the consonant at the end of words.

The announcements this evening were for trays to Birmingham New Stree, Oxfour, Readin, and Guildfour.  Also a local tray to Duffeel, Belper, Whastanwell, Cromfour, Matlo' Bath and Matlo'.

As Tony Blair found, a little glottal stop goes a long way.

I wish the people accross the road would hang their curtains up properly, they're really bugging me.
You can see more than you want to of what they're doing, or just the untidiness?

24 & 24; both tiebreaker questions and (unusually for me) three in ten!

Although that was Bucks Fizz, so it's a bit embarrassing... :-[

I have recently had cause to buy a size down in formal dress type trousers due to the loss of some lard. This in itself is not a matter for grumbles, but a cause of much :) :)

However, having bought a size down in formal dress type trousering, I find that my thighs have more in common with Chris Hoy than your average M&S shopper and now despite fitting perfectly round the waist I have may have issues actually sitting down in said trousers.

If you find such an emporium let us know.

I recall trying on some trousers which were labelled as being an 'athletic' cut.  Whatever 'athletes' they were designed for, it was obvious well developed leg muscles are not a requirement for their sport(s).  Never did find out how they fit around the middle - my thighs stopped them from getting all the way up. :(

Yes, I got the tiebreaks too, and got the three in ten in exactly the same order he did!

Look work, I know you send me a sizeable amount of bike buying tokens each month but to expect me to actually earn them is pushing it a bit; what with my line manager being off "sick" and his boss being on holiday.

So please don't phone when I am out on my lunchtime ride with something which is not urgent. I had to turn around a ride home to wait for your repeat call.

Now I get here, I discover that the IT system has packed in (again) and all office based workers have been told they can go home. I however, still have to sit here waiting for your call.

Sigh. Is it really worth it.....?

it's my brothers stag do this weekend, we're staying in a shit hotel, going hiking in the costwolds, having an afternoon on a racing track in 'an evo' and, presumably, getting very drunk with some of his annoying mates.

but I'm exhausted, have barely seen Mrs Mike in the last fortnight and I'm away all next week with work, I just want a weekend in bed...   And our coffee machine is broken.

Bah humbug.

Shimano: It's probably been said elsewhere, but your shoe sizing "system" is shite. I have only just found a pair of your shoes that fit. I am a size 44/10 normally, but have got into your 46s with adequate room lengthwise. However, as for the width, that's something else. I do not have big, wide feet, but even so I was only only the second of ten clicks on the click-fit gubbins. My socks were not that bullky either.

Kindly stop basing your sizing system on kimono-clad, tortured-feet, female models and use normal people instead, kthxbai

Anyone now why Radio 4 / BBC world service is one hour behind. So when they do the news and give out a time say 4:00pm it's actually ********* 5:00pm ?

Lol. It's not like we are all still using valve radio sets, were in the year of super technology. Surely they can at least edit the time correctly for what ever country your in ?

The programme content itself is the same no matter how it's delivered, and the World Service short wave transmitters are in the UK - they transmit all over the planet from there.  Very hard to tailor the programming when it's being squirted in a rough direction to cover a great sector of the globe.
