To the riders
« on: 13 August, 2019, 09:47:09 pm »
Either this place ain't what it used to be, or I'm getting/got older, don't ride as much, so as a consequence, don't know as many folk as I once did, but.......good luck everybody. Bon voyage, and for the first time in 12yrs [a nano second by Audax standards], I'll be watching from the sofa - which has it's own different kind of enjoyment.
So, in short - be lucky people, be safe and have a great time.

There will be some new stories to share the next time we meet on the road.

It's very odd, reading all the posts and seeing everyone's preparations. It's like being at home on New Year's Eve when everyone else in the street is at the same party.  :'(

Good luck, everyone - look forward to reading your stories, here and in Arrivee.

I've actually got an uncle in Bretagne who runs a pancake stall right on the route. I mentioned that PBP is this weekend and he said "well that's crêped up quickly"

Good luck everyone and hope you all get round.

Have fun, everyone. Happy crêping!
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

As another rider who is also not going for the first time in 12 years, i'd like to second Garry's post. I have many memories of completing, and also failing to complete PBP, and it seems strange not to be going this time.

Best of luck to you all:- Race to Brest, and tour back, but don't stop TOO often on the way back, although you might be tempted by all the village foodstalls, etc.
