Are going to be in Blenheim Palace on the 28th of September. Is anyone planning on going?

Well, Blenheim is a pleasant cycle ride from my house so it'd be rude not to!
Sounds like a fun day out, unless it's raining.

How about a Brompton Sweepstake on the A44 Cyclepath (Oxford to Blenheim)?  How many Brommies go past in an hour?  Or similar for how many go through the gates at Oxford station that day?
I'll be there.  On my red-and-light-blue T6.

I'll be surprised if there aren't Bromptons there with far more gears than mine...

This illo from Triathlete's World (captioned "Will My Commuting Bike Embarass Me?") made me think of the Brommie Worlds:

I'm very tempted to go, you know.  It'd be a perfect decompression event after my half-ironman the week before!

Here's the entry page and rules.  Registration is open until a couple of weeks before the race.  Two 6.5km laps, in suit and tie.  I may need to borrow a bigger chainring..! :demon:
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

The top gear on a standard 3-speed would be enough for a TT.  It's about 84".
