Wasn't sure what it was at first, but its an I pad Air 2 (2014-2017) locked with fingerprint and passcode, so no way of retrieving owners details. So a reset via I tunes, and all clear, in that it is now ALL clear ...ooops!   so now have a factory reset ,min 3 year old I Pad.   Some googling showed plod wouldn't be interested,  Apple can't do anything due to privacy issues etc, and as of a couple of years ago, you are now no longer legally obliged to hand in anything you find.  So nowt much I can do now. 'location' is off btw

Snap! I did the same thing two weeks ago. Cycled past it first, realised, doubled back and woo-hoo!

A ratchet strap on the road tonight. Bit grubby, but seems intact and working.

D came in this afternoon with a Technika subwoofer he had picked up on his perambulations.

He says it performs quite well bet has a mains buzz.

I don't know. D's not played with it much yet. Checked it electrically and found a suitable cable to connect it with other kit. Says mains buzz is only audible in absence of music. D's hearing is MUCH more sensitive than mine, which is basically fine.

D found a discarded oil painting of tulips a few weeks ago. It's on the wall in our hallway. The blue swivel chair in D's office is another roadside find.

Alongside the verge on my Friday ride, a single swimming flipper. Quite apt given the weather at the time!

I assume it's an active sub-woofer, i.e. one with a main cable.

I've got some experience of fixing those. It may be as simple as needing new main capacitors.

It is, indeed active, with a three pin mains plug attached.

D says it's quiet when connected to other computer speakers but his ancient Yamaha speakers (gifted by his father decades ago) perform well without additional woofage. He has spent/wasted an afternoon being entertained by his roadside find, which represents good VFM in these locked down days.

Roast chicken, cheese and onion, ready salted, monster munch etc etc.  All slightly out of date. So of course I  open my 'Nelson longflap' to ...''the biggest it would ever go'' and stuffed as many as I could in there, which wasn't many. There was a whole box of cheese and onion......mmmmmmm!

I thought I would venture forth , and go 'forrigin' again, this time with a LARGE pannier bag as well.  Just as well.....found some bags of peanuts, spicy Dorritos, more cheese and onion, beef monster munch, bacon wheat crunchies  etc...  Just as well I took the big pannier really, as on the way to the ''shop'', I came across the ''off license''
