New Metal Monoliths
« on: 04 December, 2020, 11:36:38 pm »
Not a form of rock music, but may be found in or near rocks. Turns out three have been identified so far: Utah, California and Romania. The first two have been removed, the fate of the one in Romania is apparently unknown. My theory: It's not spaceships, it's not an extraterrestrial geodesic survey, it's not reflecting or deflecting 5G coronalurgi waves, it's not any other conspiracy-type theory, it's art. But it's art that's designed to be destroyed, if that's what people decide to do. ''Let's put it up there and see what people do with it.''

Come back when you've found one in the environs of the outer planets.

Every forumite could set up an offcut of plywood or similar at the top of a good climb, or maybe in a bivvy spot if they're into that, or in some other spot that's meaningful for them in a cycle-related way. And on each plinth object there would be the simple message "This is not a narwhal."

That would soon get people talking. About narwhals, probably.
