Montgomery Madness Gets a Refresh
« on: 03 August, 2020, 07:32:24 pm »
Following numerous entries received in recent days, The Montgomery Madness, has received a refresh including an improved recommended route, to ensure that it is spick and span for the new post covid audax season. Those familiar with the area will see the the Monty Madness closely resembles The Kidderminster Killer for topography.

The 205km perm provides a very challenging ride with 3.5AAA, crossing the Bromyard Downs, Knighton hills, Kerry Ridgeway, Heath Mynd, Stiperstones, Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge.  The countryside from the deep rolling pastures of Herefordshire to Stretton Hills provide variety.  The revised route incorporates more rural and less B roads to keep you away from traffic.

Start at any control:  Bewdley; Bromyard; Ludlow; Knighton; Montgomery or Bridgnorth. Riders can also elect to start at Tenbury or Church Stretton.

As proofs of passage, riders are encouraged to use selfies or GPX files in these Covid times. Receipts will still be accepted.

Hi Phillip

Just to let you know, the download link for the route sheet actually links to the GPX download. There is no route sheet there.

Looks like a nice loop.
Does not play well with others
