Velodrome Training Sessions
« on: 16 January, 2013, 05:27:46 pm »
At the end of last year I got myself accredited to ride in the new Glasgow Velodrome - mainly so that I could use it for winter training. Forecast for this weekend is snow & ice so I've booked myself in for a session on Friday afternoon. The question is - what should I do when I'm on the track? Anyone got any good ideas for a one hour session?

If it's an SQT (Structured Quality Training) session you'll be told what to do. Usually the sessions that need the accreditation are these.

If it's a taster or open session then it will be down to the coach, but the key factor will be the ability and numbers on the track.

Get thoroughly warmed up before you go on the track. 2 hrs round the locale doing short sprints when you can.

Try 2 x 10 mile TTs back-to-back.
