Martha got covered in something sticky and guey again

But, back to the plot, I enjoyed the episode, it wasn't a classic but it was entertaining and possibly the best of the season so far.

It reminded me of the old series a lot more than some of this series.  I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...

We need a Martha-spooge gallery.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

I thought this week's episode was somewhat dull, and I found The Doctor v9.1 rather irritatingly bubbly. And I didn't think much of the previous two-parter either. :(

Me, I'm a Monster-of-the-Week fan, so I really liked the Fires of Pompeii episode. And also having a deep love of trashy whodunnits, I'm *really* looking forward to next week's episode. :)

Not fussed who the assistant is as long as it isn't Catherine Tate. Please... please just make her go away. Her voice makes my spine twist, and not in a good way.

Having just watched the latest episode "The Unicorn and the Wasp", I thought it was rather good.

Tying in Agatha Christies disappearance was very clever, and I particularly enjoyed the bit where the Doctor was gesturing to Donna, and she was making an appalling mess of working out what he wanted!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Yes, classic Dr Who, I thought

I was also rather impressed with Ms Tate's acting for the first time.  Less of the bellowing lines through a metaphorical megaphone and more real acting stuff

Plus...the thing about the bees disappearing again.

Well, it was OK, but still haven't had a really good one this series.

It's still the only thing I bother to turn the tele on for.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

The woman who was Agatha Christie is very very nice. ;)

We loved catching the Book titles - theywere so brilliantly dropped in

When Dr Who started - "This endless night...."
Agatha Chistie describing the  poisoning as "Sparkling Cyanide"
The comment on the stairs about "The mirror crack'd"

We spotted over a dozen!

The girl is Fenella Woolgar... recently seen with James Nesbitt in Jekyll.

I'm getting back into it all now!

I liked the last episode; it's feasible as it fills in bits of a story that are left blank and it also has some clever references like the expeliamus bit from the last series. Aliens killing half the population of the world is just plain silly.

OK it's not quite Torchwood, but...I thought I was going to have to have a discussion with our 7 and 10yr old daughters about why the son, out for his afternoon constitutional, gazed lovingly at another man, then they walked off hand in hand.  The most we've had from the mini-ao's so far is - 'so and so told me that a man can marry another man.'   :)

Even for Doctor Who, I wasn't sure about vicars turning into giant alien wasps...

Would this be a discussion you'd rather not have?

best one of this series.  Fabulous stuff.

Glad we have to put the kids to bed in the daylight!

Brilliant episode! The love-interest-he's-not-yet-met reminded me strongly of The Time Traveller's Wife. Donna is getting better with each episode. Love it!

The Guardian Guide described it as intelligent sci-fi. So, how good would it be?

A stunning episode.

That was quite good although Dave "Oi, who turned the lights out" skeleton was a bit corny

I did wonder if they were meant to be part of the costume, or simply there to keep the faceplates from misting up while filming and meant to be hidden?  :)
