Title: Nectar League Tables
Post by: Ruthie on 07 January, 2021, 12:24:25 pm
It would appear that I am the #1 purchaser of tubs of Sainsbury’s Greek Yoghurt at my Sainsbury’s Local.  ;D :smug:

Back of the net! Top of the league!

Anyone else winning at this game?

I collect Nectar points all year, and they pay for my Christmas dinner. I can do it all from my phone now, including paying, because we’re living in the future.

If the future includes being in bed with the D**ly M**l then I'm setting the controls of my time machine for 1965 :demon:

The Mayor is boycotting Nectar because they teamed up with the indicated publication.

I'm from the 1990s and have been boycotting Nectar since it was first a thing.  I know they're data-mining my shopping habits anyway, but there's no need to encourage them.  This frequently baffles the checkout staff at Mr Sainsbury's Emporium of Toothy Comestibles, who are about 12, and consider such schemes to be normal and ordinary and just a part of the way the world works.

They’re only mining the data on what I top up on the way home from work. And it contributes to my Christmas dinner.

I have a similar arrangement with Tescos, who presumably think I'm really keen on basmati rice and laundry tablets.

Condoms and Mini Cheddars*. As the years rumble by, there is more emphasis on the snack products side of that equation.

*lie. I don't shop at Sainsbury's.

I'm not actively boycotting Nectar - wasn't even aware of the issues connected to them - but since I very rarely shop in Sainsbury's or buy petrol from BP, I hardly every use my Nectar card.

Dread to think what I would be top of the table for. My mind is slightly boggling that this is even a thing.

Hmm, mine doesn't work, but I was able to find out via the internets that I am the number 1 purchaser of coconut milk.
That'll be my piña colada habit, that will....

We're winning on orange juice. I'd have expected to win on ginger beer as well, but apparently not.

Today it would seem that it's the Nectar Grab a Juicy Points Boost Day. Just log in to the app and get some extra points, maybe.
