Just to report that this evening I've swapped 3 nearly empty cartridges in my 3880 for refillables, run a power clean, had a clean nozzle check and run a couple of test prints through and it's working as it should. It hasn't been turned on for about 4 years. I'm both relieved and impressed.
Now for the holiday snaps and sorting out the historic albums for Mrs S...
