A short heavy snow fall in Brighton just now, leaving a very picturesque dusting on the roofs.

You're all gits!  >:(

Here am I, living less than 10 miles from the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and even closer to some fine MTB trails, and what do I get? Drizzle, followed by a moderately fine day!

Bah!

I checked on Pen-y-Fan 6 Day Snow Forecast & Skiing Weather for 190 m - Snow-Forecast.com and there will be a small amount of snow on Saturday night.

I'm hoping for a repeat of last February:

Blizzard conditions here at the moment.
If this keeps up, and with the forecast high winds over the peaks, the ride home will be fun!

Blizzard on the ride into town this afternoon, crossing the valley takes you over an elevated road way and bridge, it was blowing into a white out up there as the wind came razzing down, would have had to get off and push if I had not been wearing wrap around cycling glasses.

Riding in drifting snow showers is rather good as it makes one feel driven and determined for about ten minutes.

Then back to boring old reality when you reach the nice warm coffee shop.

I must be in 'not quite darkest Zummerzet' as we've had some.
Not enough to make a difference to anything, but the patio table looked as if it had been a bit near a very enthusiastic whitewasher

Oh my  :o.

It's going nuts outside now. Gusts of wind must be at last 50mph because we've lost at least one pantile already.

It's snowing very heavily, and there are already drifts forming in the lane.

Methinks Mrs S and #2 Son will be taking a snow day tomorrow  :D.

It's already an ice-rink out there and the sun hasn't even set yet.

Oh goody, I'm on the faired trike
Will be fun at about 23.00 when I leave  ;D ;D

I'm in Bournemouth and there's nothing here yet.

Tomorrow evening I have to drive back home to mid-Essex where apparently its banging down.  Good for them but I hope it doesn't stop me from getting back to the bosom of my wife family where undoubtedly a warm welcome will await me.

It's all turned to sheet ice on the pavements. More misery for the elderly amongst others.

It appears to have been snowing every so lightly in London.  There's a thin layer on the balcony outside of the lab, and the clean room air filtering system has shutdown (which it does when the air temperature drops below zero).

I think it's time to go home, and investigate exactly how slippery things are out there!
Actually, it is rocket science.

Snow finally hit Cambridge in earnest an hour or so back, and there's a pretty respectable dusting now.  Just off to investigate the state of the roads...
Half term's when the traffic becomes mysteriously less bad for a week.

Get going Tim.

The stuff which has fallen here (SE23) so far, doesn't look like its about to disappear.

I want it to really throw it down overnight.   Then I'll be up nice and early, out with the camera taking piccies to sell to the local businesses for their 2010 chrimbo cards and web pages

We got a blizzard here, with thunder and lightning!!  That's unusual.  :o

I was surprised that it actually was settling.  Was about to go for a walk but the thunderstorm has made me think I'll wait a bit.
