Blimey proper stars on a reality show
« on: 02 March, 2010, 05:00:19 pm »
Strictly Come Dancing gets C list stars that I have never heard of. They have just announced the participants in the next series of the American version Dancing With The Stars. They have got Buzz Aldrin, Pamela Anderson, Nicole Scherzinger and Shannan Doherty for starters. I wonder what the ratings for the UK series would be like if they could match that ?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

The British equivalent could be: Michael Foale, Kelly Brook, Sporty Spice and Abi Titmuss.

Not a ratings-killer.

Erm... who?   ??? :-\
This isn't just a thousand to one shot. This is a professional blood sport. It can happen to you. And it can happen again.

Nicole Scherzinger is a Pussycat Doll, and is famous for wearing not much.

See? I does know popular culture.
Getting there...

At last, Buzz Aldrin gets to say "this is one small step..."

And for being Lewis Hamilton's girlfriend (until recently).
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

... the concept is sufficiently naff that even with the most "star studded" cast I would not be watching it

Let's hope he doesn't come in 2nd place again.  It could be too much for him to take.

"Proper stars"?  I think not.

Yes but at least he can go back and taunt Michael Collins: "When I danced with Pamela Anderson..."
