Turgid Coldpay dirges.  They don't sound much better without Chris Martin groaning over the top.

Every art-car is better than the next! The APC beetle! The farm-equipment grasshopper!  It's a little Burn!

It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

It's a bit like that Glastonbury in the 1980s when Michael Eavis let the travellers in for free.

Dad rock.

Especially if you're an excessively rich dad and your kids have stupid names.

Didn't they say it was made by BMW?

It's the new 7-series.  Only slightly less ugly than the E65.

I thought they said they'd made stuff out of BMWs. I thought good, that's however many less on the roads.

No. Made OF BMWs...

MFWHTBAB spotted a Beetle in one of the vehicles, and apparently they are all made of scrap.

I want to do that too!

I'm currently watching this time shifted by about -15 minutes so I can fast forward through the interminable adverts. But now Coldplay have just come on. Should I waste some of my valuable minutes skipping Mr Martin?

The rest has been great though - knocks the socks of the Olympic closing ceremony.

Watch it, for the aerial dancing, the performers drifting in under balloons of lightbulbs, the stadium views.

The music is pretty immaterial.

I'm too out of touch to know why I'm supposed to despise Coldplay, so I'm just getting in and enjoying it all!

There's one song they surely can't play tonight.

Fix You

?

TBH I don't much mind Coldplay stuff, I just think the TV director should remember that this isn't a Coldplay gig, it is celebrating the end of the best Paralympics ever.
