Peace and quiet at last.

Delivered grandson number 4 back to Devon today after six days of non-stop kiddie entertainment; eight years old and a lovely boy, but my PCs been taken over by Mr Bean, the telly seems to have had a permanent channel fix to Spongebob squarepants, we have visited museums, adventure parks, the pictures (Alvin and the Chipmunks), The Downs, the beach, the shops, visited all his great grandparents, painted a piggy bank and done a million drawings.

The house is bathed in peace at the mo and I'm halfway through a bottle of wine - wonderful.  8)

I love my 3 grandsons (6 - 11 years) and enjoy being with them but relish the first hour after they go home.

I feel your pain.  Trouble is my grandson lives less than one mile away and the grisly tableau you describe is played out every weekend.
