Isn't it a beauty? A bit difficult to take anywhere though: we'd need a car trailer and I reckon getting it on a train would be very difficult.

This tends to be a requirement on bigger multi-rider machines. A friend has a four-up tandem (a beast to ride) and it would effortlessly break freewheels when the cranks were in sync. The current crank set-up ensures scraped pedals but maintains forward motion.
