Haha quality!

I have to say (very slightly off topic) that ever since we moved to the UK, I've been fascinated by "family butchers".   :o

Are they legal??    ;D

I'm afraid that you'll just have to believe me on this one.  I've searched around and they no longer seem to be in business. (Or they've changed their name)

There was a small engineering works near Digbeth in Birmingham called The Maiden Screwing Co.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

I stumbled on that a couple of days ago, I was reading something on Macworld I think... unbelieveable. I've just got this picture in my head of the staff who work there now...

I've always wanted to own a tearoom.  I'm undecided whether to call it The Chocolate Teapot, or The Drum-Up.

In the 70's there was an engineering firm near Leeds FC Elland Road stadium who had an enormous roadside billboard with their name on it.

Rafferty's Toolworks

(some wag had painted on the wall below
"so does mine but I'm not bragging")

Don't know if it's still there.

I thought that you might have mentioned a butchers shop that used to be in a Somerset town on the A30.
