:-)

Dilbert's strengths are identifying the dynamics of office life, in particular those driven by human weakness.
(He's quite good on corporate greed, too.)

I can't remember the name of the guy whose job is basically IT support, ie to stop them doing anything useful with their computers.

In one of the cartoons, I think it's him who outlines their new acceptable password policy.  It was more relaxed than the one in my job at that time. :-\
Actually, it is rocket science.

25 Feb 2007 - I was "in charge" of that project, in 2000. :(

I think that's Mordac The Preventer.

This one was the first Dilbert strip I saw, and got me hooked on Dilbert, so I guess it is right to mention it. Dilbert comic strip for 04/22/1989 from the official Dilbert comic strips archive.

I have so many favourites I'll have to come back and update my post.

I did prefer them in their greyscale / black and white format.

1. Catbert, the evil HR director. He dangles the P45s just out of the employees' reach. "It's fun to play with them before sacking them".

2. Boss: "Greater risks deserve higher pay". Dilbert: "I thought we were the ones getting sacked."

I think it is worth mentioning that they are funnier if you are a geek

If like me, you are a geek who has worked for a management consultancy then they are less funny and more reality

Hmmm - https://www.thedailybeast.com/dilbert-creator-scott-adams-tries-to-sell-interviews-with-gilroy-garlic-festival-shooting-survivors

"Adams, who has rebranded himself as pro-Trump internet personality, "

ISTR that's been brought up in one or two threads in P&OBI over the last 2-3 years, but that's not even the half of it,  - via a Gizmodo piece on Adams shilling his app in the wake of the Gilroy shooting, there's this BuzzFeed article on Adams and Kanye West from last year that is, well... read it yourself.  :o :-\

Dogbert prevails.

Dinobert with a twirling wedgie would be more appropriate.  :demon:
