Blood red sun

Anyone else got it?  This is a photo with white balance forced to daylight, which shows you how red it really is here in the west.

Gloomy here but no sun to speak of.

It's your Sahara desert invading us. Scrape it all up and post it back to Libya, they need it there.

No difference between Mars and Swindon today.  Ok, Mars has a bit less litter.

I did the same, of switching off WB Auto, to get a photo.

Doesn't Mars have a better atmosphere than Swindon?

And more atmosphere!

Got the same sky here - which is hardly surprising as I'm only 15 miles away

Have you got a lander, or are you just orbiting?

Me? Swindon is best seen from orbit, wouldn't land there if you paid me ;D

If you're in orbit above Swindon, well there's only way to be sure isn't there?

Sahara all over the car at noon - its paler then the usual red Devon dust.

The sky’s yellow here  in Darlo and it’s really really dark.

My demonometer is registering very high and the hallway trapdoor to Hell is closed so I presume it's the sky. It's probably a portal though if they look out and see Swindon they'll likely opt to stay inside.

It was like that here (West Somerset) earlier, but has now brightened up.  Pretty windy - my bike blew over on a Sheffield stand just now.

Very dark and an almost Martian red ambient light over the North Downs at the mo. It's quite surreal.

Suddenly turned very dark over south London, with a amber glow. Actually rather lovely, in its way.

It's almost back to normal in Reading now, but it was weird earlier this afternoon. Dim (I switched the light on to work), red sun, & everything looked orange. One of the neighbours knocked on the door to talk about it.

It went super dark while I was swimming. I did wonder if the world would still be there when I came out. The contrast between the sky and the fluorescent lights was impressive, turned them very blue (enough to defeat my colourblindness). It's brightened a bit now and the wind has got up (and the temperature dropped), but it's still very martian.

I'm quite impressed too. If this is End Times, they really should have bigged this up. You will die and be judged, but hey, it'll look kinda cool beforehand.

Did anyone secretly wish it was the end of the world, on the basis that modern life is boring and a good apocalypse would be super to watch, while saving us from the iPhone Xs, Brexit and this year's X-Factor winner?

I'm fine with the End of the World, I have a place in Upper Clandestine. It's not a great neighbourhood, and it's certainly not Dress Down Friday, but it's not bad by Hell standards and you can see the Chlamydian hills from the balcony. I think it's up there for Hellish gentrification especially with the expected surge of damned souls. There's pretty much no one getting in Heaven these days. It's all happening downtown. I may have to host a housewarming. Pretty easy what with the lake of fire at the bottom of the road.

You notice there's a plague of Xs, I feel that means something significant.
