I like those.

Thanks clarion.  Grid street layout and sunshine helped.  I could have papped Scottish Tory leader Ruth Davidson setting up with a camera crew between 1 and 2, but that would have been a bit unfair ;)

Just about the last ray of sunshine today. The waterproof Panny lacks a bit of resolution, but I wouldn't carry anything else on the bike these days. Half an hour after taking this I got drenched.

Walked round Strasbourg for 3 hours on Saturday with the X100, mostly shooting people. This was the first chance I've had to do a decent shoot with it, and in comparison with my DSLRs it was a delight - much faster to frame & shoot, and 90% of the time I wasn't noticed.   First time in years that I didn't have a sore back afterwards, too.  Did about 5 hours' post-processing at home, but I want to review them again at a few days' remove before publishing any.

Out with my camera in my old home town this morning and spotted some old bikes for sale.

Wanted to buy all of them but bought none.

The cycle-speedway conversion brought back memories of my own back in the day.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Not out, exactly.  Stayed in with it, and used it to copy some of my old B&W negatives.  Still a work in progress:

Doesn't he just?  ;)

The Orange Order shots were all (there are one or two more on my photostream) grabbed quickly and cropped later; I didn't particularly feel like hanging about too long - my market bags were definitely (defiantly?) the wrong colour-scheme (one lurid green, alongside one of those almost-Irish-tricoleur Crumpler Wonder Weenies from a few years back).

Looking closely, there's a guy in double-orange:  Order insignia thing over his steward's hi-viz vest

(So many ways to answer that;))

Mostly, I'd imagine.

Not getting out as much as I would like to, (bloody work!) but there are updates

For these shots I was using my 4/3 cheapie zoom (effective 100-400) and a 4/3->M4/3 adapter. I can confirm that autofocus is crap, so I switched to manual, which makes it very difficult to use and get the quality I would like (see the fishermen one, not that Nelly is much better). Even this cheapie lens is capable of better quality than this. There is one spot of amusement in this, with the adapter focus at infinity comes before the infinity stop, so I truly have a lens than can go to infinity and beyond.

There are some very nice dedicated M4/3 lenses. This could end up being expensive.
