You have dirt on your sensor.
It is simpler than it looks.

I know. It needs cleaning. I did not know before I took the pics.

Guess what, more pictures of the bridge. It is almost ready for the lift.

I met one of the site managers and the area manager today. They like the photos and are very pleased with the bridge.

Oranges and lemons.  NB the boss is a lemon.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

A long exposure at night in St Malo.

Today has been all about engineers throwing strops..

and finally:

A bridge just lifting off the trestles.
All went according to plan so there were some very happy and relieved engineers.

That was the practice lift to gauge the crane and check all is according to design. The big lift is tonight.

And the support struts are being cranked into place.

This is a considerable crop from a handheld 500mm mirror lens. Frames aligned in Photoshop and then animated as a gif.

A walk around Ibthorpe, Hampshire.

I've cycled this road a million times but rarely walk around here. It makes me want to jump on a bike and cycle down that road again.

This photo is proof positive that a RAW file has the photo in there....somewhere.  I'm always amazed at how much Dynamic Range there is in a RAW file and how easy it can be to drag it out.

Yes it generally means faffing about in post-prod for every image before you can show your Gran....but I generally faff about with all my photos anyway.

At the hustings.

ISO 4000 FTW

The UKIP one with the red and white beads is looking things up in her folder. She did that most of the time. Plus denied Climate Change and got booed. That was fun.

Sadly the Free Public Transport one didn't turn up. No busses, I'd guess.
It is simpler than it looks.

A different project. Trying to trace the drains and establish their condition on the railway path.

These pipes are cast iron and about 24" diameter. Stand in the stream, point the camera and torch in about the right direction because you cant get that low without getting seriously wet, and hope. Ant try it again.

Yes that is a square stone lined drain in the second one, leading to the cast iron pipe
